Cat Behavior Training


You want this service because your cat has, for example, the following problems:


  • Scratching the furniture
  • There is aggression towards other cats
  • There is aggression from your cat towards one of your dogs
  • Brings in dead prey
  • There is a behaviour problem with your kitten.
  • Do you want to introduce your cat with your baby on the way
  • Dig your plants at home
  • Meowing excessively
  • There is aggression towards family members or other humans
  • Have problems with house-soling
  • Fear of cars/traveling
  • You want to make an introduction to your new cat/dog


My method is to harmonize the relationship between the owner and family members with the cat exhibiting unacceptable behavior in domestic life. The consultation is to collect basic data and prepare the clinical record. In this consultation we will analyse:


1) what is the origin of the problem

2) what is the objective to solve

3) where is the possible cause of the breakdown of the human-cat relationship

4) the type of method to be implemented to change behaviour.

5) the tools to use - therapeutic plan


Therapies based on the therapeutic plan I outlined previously, I will indicate to the owner the steps to follow. The therapies are done in a mixed way, that is, one in the office and another by reviewing videos that I will ask the owner to send me for analysis. The consultation lasts from 30 minutes to one hour.

Specialized training


There are two types of training: Behavioral and specialized

Behavioral costs are included in the behavioral therapy consultation while specialized training costs are separate.

This type of training, specialized training, is of the entertainment type and most of the reason is because the cat is chosen to perform in some type of commercial, presentation, exhibition, television series and/or film.

My method of training the cat and the owner, so that the reinforcement is still applied by the owner at home.


Group training for cats.


With a maximum of four cats per session, we train cats for a variety of situations, from getting used to the carrier or collar to learning tricks like sitting and waiting. Our professional approach aims to ensure that cats adapt and behave appropriately in any circumstance.

Who am I?



Hi, I'm Maria Fernanda, I had two cats (Darrin and Adam) when I was younger. I'm Portuguese and I had the opportunity to live in Malta, in the United Kingdom (my studies were in the feline specialty at the University of Oxford) and in Germany where I developed my career having my first cases that gave me a lot of experience. No matter what country I am in, what I cannot abandon is my passion for specialized care for kittens, especially when it comes to their mental health. I love observing their behavior and understanding how they feel in different situations. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with cats of different breeds and personalities, which allowed me to gain extensive experience in the care and management of these adorable felines. I am constantly updating myself on the latest research and techniques in the field of cat mental health so that I can provide them with the best care possible. My goal is to ensure that every kitten that comes into my hands receives the love, attention and care it deserves. There is nothing more rewarding for me than seeing a happy, healthy cat and knowing that I have played a part in their well-being. I will always be committed to my passion for cats and will continue to work hard to improve the quality of life for these wonderful animals.
